I was inspired to try a drum-and-bass arrangement based on the last segment of the original song, where it drops it's R&B elements in favor of D&B elements. I brought over a lot of MIDI data from the original project into the D&B project- a lot of what you hear is directly from the original arrangement, just on different instruments.
Lyrically, the rap I added bring a bit of finality, and a glimpse at a happy ending, to the otherwise-uncertain story. While it never takes the full presence like the rest of the melody- it certainly competes with it- I am quite happy with how it sits in the song.
lyrics
What's there left to say?
We've played all the games
And now we're here with our hands untying
It's the end of days
For our little craze
And we're not too far from straying far apart
Ooh, do you feel the rain?
The pain?
The same?
Right here, right now, I'm
Feeling we're out of time
And it's not like we can
Flip the sands
Right here, right now, I'm
Feeling that something's not right
Can you feel this vibe?
(Ooh-woah-ooh-woah-oh, oh, ah-ah-ah-ah)
Right here, right now, I'm
Clinging and holding you tight
Is there something that hasn't
Crossed our minds?
Right here, right now, I'm
Not sure what feels wrong or right
Tell me, tell me
Is there a way to pacify the pain?
Are we history?
Were we incomplete?
Is there anything left to salvage?
Was it worth the things
We had done for rings?
But in the end, does it even matter?
Ooh, it's the final seconds of us
For us
Right here, right now, I'm
Feeling we're out of time
And it's not like we can
Flip the sands
Right here, right now, I'm
Feeling that something's not right
Can you feel this vibe?
(Ooh-woah-ooh-woah-oh, oh, ah-ah-ah-ah)
Right here, right now, I'm
Clinging and holding you tight
Is there something that hasn't
Crossed our minds?
Right here, right now, I'm
Not sure what feels wrong or right
Tell me, tell me
Is there a way to pacify the pain?
Is there a way to pacify the pain?
(I'm not going to leave with the summer)
(No way I'd be best with another)
(I'm not giving us up, now or ever)
(I'm right here at your side, here forever)
(We'll get through this somehow, alright?)
(We'll patch things up, and bring out our light)
(And someday soon we'll pacify the pain)
(And maybe then we'll sleep at night again)
Is there a way to pacify the pain?

Circus's "715" is an excellent evolution of his sound and style since the "Lucid" days. I'm extremely proud to be part of it (on "Patches", "Castaway" remix), and thoroughly enjoy the entire album. nostraightanswer
Melt came into my orbit by covering a song I recorded for Circus-P. Since then, her own sound has become something quite special, and has made herself a mainstay of the English VOCALOID scene. nostraightanswer
