Something happened when I began recording this self-cover. A floodgate opened, and uncertainty burst forth. It was to the point where this self-cover almost didn't happen, were it not for encouragement from a few kind-hearted acquaintances and friends. I slept on those kindnesses, woke up the next day, and made it work.

Looking back on it now, it's a bit ironic. This song is a love letter to the community... interesting that it took the community's love and support for me to bring me across the finish line.

And I guess that's kind of the point, too.
