this song is about my fear of apocalypses. within the fiction of the song's world, actually, an apocalypse (caused by poor management of the world's resources, climate change due to poor management of the world's industry, etc) already happened. the song is about a more deliberate culling of the herd, and the rebellion against that. the rich have taken their resources and fled to their safe havens, and those less fortunate are deemed to die- there's too many people on this earth, so the best way to replenish our resources is to kill most of its population, right?
...it's a bit extreme. i don't believe this is ever going to actually happen, but an apocalypse is an apocalypse, and the one i'm actually worried about is not necessarily so far off. i'd like to prevent or delay that one, if we could.
lyrics
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
no time for peace and kindness
we've got too much on our plate, give it a rest
what's the point anyway?
you can play this song but no one will listen
you know the top of the class?
how they sit on their grass
ignoring the world as it burns?
we could've figured it out
they could've turned it around
but they pretend like they never heard
as we fall, the sky's
turning red tonight
like plastic dynamite
count and close your eyes
when the clock strikes midnight
we'll all be dead
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
yeah we'll all be dead tonight
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
if we can't turn back the time
with rivers running red now
as we hear the sirens ring out
there's no reason to stay
if we take no action, we'll all be wiped away
so break into a run
there's nowhere to hide, the rich already won, oh
and if you have the will, you'll come with me
cuz i know you have time to kill
as we fall, the sky's
burning red tonight
nuclear bombs in sight
count and close your eyes
when the clock strikes midnight
we'll all be dead, right?
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
yeah we'll all be dead tonight
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
if we can't turn back the
as the world turns upside down
chaos razing through the ground
tell me, can you hear that sound?
you hear that sound?
as we fall, the sky's
burning red tonight
gotta win this fight
count and close my eyes
if the clock strikes midnight
we'll all be dead, right?
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
yeah, we'll all be dead tonight
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
if we can't turn back the time
oh oh oh woah oh oh oh
yeah, we'll all be dead tonight

Circus's "715" is an excellent evolution of his sound and style since the "Lucid" days. I'm extremely proud to be part of it (on "Patches", "Castaway" remix), and thoroughly enjoy the entire album. nostraightanswer
Melt came into my orbit by covering a song I recorded for Circus-P. Since then, her own sound has become something quite special, and has made herself a mainstay of the English VOCALOID scene. nostraightanswer
